June has been busy kicking off the month with some major projects wrapping up – we have two custom home handovers this month and it is so exciting to see all the details and choices our clients have made come to life – it’s a privilege to work on a family’s home – and seeing it all come together is really amazing! Our clients designed a stunning stair case that is really a show stopper!
Another big project nearing the finish line is the Sasquatch Inn room renovations – this is a complete transformation that we can’t wait to show off some before and afters. Big thanks to the Maclean Family for the opportunity to work on their gorgeous pub – and thanks to Tanya Nicole Designs for the beautiful design work. Harrison Mills is such a great spot to work – and we owe a big thanks to the whole team at the Sasquatch Inn for being patient and helpful during renovations.
We took some time out to cruise Harrison Lake and River with our team – what a fun day out with the great folks at Shoreline Tours – after working on the Lake and River for years, it was very cool to all get out and see it from a different point of view.
What is coming up for you and your family? Although our schedule is filling up, it’s a good time to look at your future projects and take the time to start planning, design and budgeting. Give us a call or email us about your dream custom home, or dream renovation!
Spring has been a long time coming this year and we are thrilled to start seeing sun, tulips, magnolia, robins and more! We are very excited to be working on a modern home in Mission that will be an absolute show stopper when it’s complete! Permit times have been slowing down across the board with increased construction in the Fraser Valley. It’s never too early to start thinking of the process of building your dream home – the planning, budgeting, design and permitting all takes time and it’s good to set aside some months to work through the steps. Give us a call if you have a new build coming up in the Mission, Harrison Mills area and we would love to talk to you about the process.
It’s been very busy over the winter – our Fraser Valley construction industry did not see the same slow downs we usually see over the winter, other than all the snow days! We have some jobs wrapping up including new homes in the Mission, Harrison Mills, Eagle Point, Rivers Reach and more areas. We see our clients looking at a lot of white, black and grey in their finishing and it’s always a classic, striking look!
One of the larger projects we are working on right now is the Sasquatch Inn renovation with the Maclean family – pictured above are the guys re-installing the iconic front doors after a refresh by sanding and re-staining. The pub is open for business and you will notice the new brighter colour inside and some ceiling repairs. To look forward to will be the upstairs refresh of the inn’s rooms for guests – we can’t wait to see the end result of the gorgeous design done by Tanya Nicole Designs!
We have been busy in the industry as well speaking to people looking to enter the trades, and students in the trades at UFV and Riverside College – and an exciting week helping CHBA judge the National Housing Excellence Awards!
We are so excited to have been honoured with five CHBA Fraser Valley Housing Awards of Excellence including:
And to top it off Best Residential Renovator for 2016!
It was a great night to be honoured for our renovations in the Fraser Valley – we have updated our Houzz page to note our award winning projects! Thank you very much to our amazing team, suppliers and clients that make it all possible!
Also exciting is our fourth year being honoured for Best of Houzz for Customer Service!
New Year, fresh start, and our we are hearing a lot from our current and new clients about fresh starts in their housing – maybe plans for a new home, or moving forward on the house of their dreams, or a fresh start with a renovation.
We are excited to be working with the Maclean Family in Harrison Mills on the Sasquatch Inn – built in 1954, the Sasquatch has been a community meeting place for over 70 years. Run by the Maclean family continuously from the start, they are moving forward into 2017 with a guest room renovation. We are so honoured to be working with another great family business and can’t wait to share the results with you.
More exciting news – the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Fraser Valley has announced finalists for their inaugural Fraser Valley Housing Awards of Excellence and we are finalists in 8 categories! We are very excited to have a local event recognizing excellence in Fraser Valley housing and our crew is excited to see the work up on the big screen February 4!
Our crew loves working in Harrison Mills and especially in the communities of Eagle Point and Rivers Reach. This time of year, the bald eagles are everywhere and there is so much to see and do! With Hemlock Resort only 20 minutes away, you can golf, ski, kayak and more all in one day! These are beautiful communities to consider retiring to, raising a family in or more! Let us know if you are considering a move to Harrison Mills!
It has been a busy summer for construction everywhere and we are happy to be working with new clients and wrapping up some larger projects. We are very happy to be working with the fine folks at Mission Hospice Society who do amazing work in our community. We have three active projects in Rivers Reach and Eagle Point and we are excited to be starting two new homes in Mission. Our crew has been kept hopping and we have expanded our fleet with a new van, rock truck and boom lift expanding our opportunity to meet our clients’ expectations. Our photographer will be coming out late September to take photos of the ‘New Rustic’ and we can’t wait to share them on Houzz and our Facebook page.
We love seeing projects come together and break ground on new ones – let us know about yours!
The “home” stretch for a few of our clients’ new homes. It’s very exciting to see projects come together and see a vision come to life. The three homes here were all designed by our clients with 4th Dimension Design & Drafting
We start our process with our clients with a site meeting – get an idea of the home they want to build and how to they want to proceed with the process. We connect our clients with Joel at 4th Dimension and while working on plans, we coordinate with the local municipality to ensure the other items are moving forward for permit processing.
Items like engineering, septic, surveys, watercourse/riparian studies and more are all underway while our clients work on plans. We move to process to our online construction management platform where clients can access information, quotes, specifications, selections and more any time from their phone, tablet or computer.
We will work with you to get your permit for construction and then the exciting part starts! Breaking ground for your new home! Give us a call or email if you want to talk about building a new home in the Fraser Valley!
We are beyond excited to announce we won the CHBA National Housing Awards for Excellence 2016 Best Whole House Renovation $250,000 – $500,000 for our project Farmhouse Reimagined! It would not be possible without of course our amazing clients – and we owe our success to our fantastic crew, trades and suppliers! Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
We have been a National and Provincial finalist in CHBA awards in previous years, and this year taking home the trophy was a dream come true! Check out photos from the project on our Houzz – Farmhouse Reimagined page!
We have wrapped up the repair of the rear wall of Mission Friendship Centre and it is a big change! There had been water penetration over time and the old stucco surface needed to be removed and replaced with new Hardie siding as well as some new windows and doors. We really appreciate the opportunity to work with this amazing non-profit society whose purpose is to meet the needs of First Nations and Non-First Nations people, who are making a transition to the urban community. They provide a central and suitable facility where counseling information, guidance and referral services will be provided.
We wanted to thank the amazing staff and patrons at the Mission Friendship Centre so we had a big pizza and cookie party to say thanks! Claire and Erik were out serving up pizza to thank the community that has been so helpful and positive throughout the construction project! We love our clients and we love having an opportunity to say Thank you!
